My mind is the thinker. It’s scientific. It’s domain is making sense of the past and making predictions about the future. It craves structure, categorization and “making sense”. My record of knowledge.
My interests are wide and different. I am focusing on a breadth of experience because I want to understand the whole of the world. How the different parts of the world come together as an interconnected system. In my experiences so far I have found how my learnings in one domain have carried over to another field, often awarding me with a fresher perspective and a different way of doing things which may typically be not of the norm. I believe that applying knowledge to a brand new situation is the marrow of creativity. The world is a rapidly changing place and the ability to navigate new situations is becoming more important by the day. I believe trailblazers understand how to translate and weave in parts of one domain to another to create something new and beautiful into the interwoven fabric of life. An understanding more vast, interconnected and grand. I am building those blocks.
This faith in interdisciplinary education and gaining broad experience is a guiding principle in my life. I believe that it will ultimately enable me to go further in my chosen specialty and enable me to make meaningful change. I also understand that the biggest personality changes occur between age eighteen and one’s late twenties. I have a much better chance of finding my passions and talents by iteratively sampling classes, social groups, activities, work and then remaking my personal narrative.
